My name is Dayanna Gordon Bustamante, born and raised in Cartagena-Colombia and I am 25 years old. In my free time I like to spend time with my family, watch series, and exercise. I am passionate about international business and everything related to it.

I graduated from Industrial Management in 2019 from the University of Cartagena, and I am currently finishing my degree in finance and international business at Bolivar Technological University. During the development of my university career I have had the opportunity to participate in international projects such as X Culture. Where I had the opportunity to work in a team with people from Africa, USA and Grenada. This project consists of studying the particular case of a company that is having some difficulty or requirement, and we make proposals for improvement that may be applicable and feasible.

I have a year and a half of experience in the logistics and port sector, specifically in the warehouse and general cargo area. There, I was able to apply much of what I learned in my two professional careers, in addition to expanding my knowledge in supply chain, international business, foreign trade, among other areas.

Currently, I am working in the Port of Cartagena in the warehouse and general cargo area as an operations assistant. There, I have daily contact with foreign trade operations and the documentation that this entails. It has been a great growth for me, both personally and professionally, because every day I face new challenges.

I decided to participate in this program because I feel that it is a very growing experience. In addition, it is an opportunity to interact with people from different cultures, share knowledge, experiences and make new friends around the world. Regarding the academic field, I feel that I can learn a lot from my colleagues and broaden the vision of international business that I currently have. The idea is to apply what we have learned at university and share it with others, in this way we can all grow.

In the professional field, I believe that it is an opportunity to know and compare the way in which other countries develop their business and the operations that this entails. It helps us to make comparisons and share innovative techniques that we can apply in our country.

I am very grateful for the opportunity and I look forward to the best of this project!
